 Hello from the Vitality Advisory Council of Oceano! On June 8, 2021 we were officially recognized by the San Luis Obispo (SLO) County Board of Supervisors as a new voice for our vibrant Oceano!

We are a diverse group of Oceano residents and business owners who are passionate about our community and care deeply about preserving our quality of life. We aim to build on our relationships with our predominantly family owned businesses for the success of our economy and the future of our quaint coastal town. 

Together, we believe in a hands on approach in involving our community members for the betterment of Oceano. We will strive to help unify and promote inclusive involvement with-in our community where all voices can be heard!

We look towards a bright future by using the Revitalization Plan that was developed by SLO county Planning with input from Oceano residents. This will serve as our road map for projects and ideas on exciting improvements and beautification efforts which will enhance our community and move us towards a more pedestrian focused downtown area along Hwy 1.

We'd like to create fun, family oriented community events and plan to have interactive workshops during our monthly meetings to learn about our heritage and explore other intriguing subjects. Your input is desired and always welcome! These are important steps that help to develop and strengthen our connections with our neighbors.
